Io Sto Con Gli Ippopotami
Artists: Walter Rizzati
This CD wants to be a musical tribute to the movie “Io sto con gli ippopotami” a funny animalistic-comedy produced in 1979, directed by Italo Zingarelli and starring the dynamite duo Bud Spencer & Terence Hill, who are considered cult actors today. In this movie Bud & Terence play two good men who live in Africa and this time the real “cruel beasts” are the bad men who want making money speculating on the jungle animals’ poor skin. This motion picture has a very animalistic meanining and our granitic duo ‘ll revenge the animals using their secret weapon: their fists! For this movie’s 25th anniversary, Digitmovies is proud to re-issue on CD the complete score composed and conducted by Walter Rizzati; besides the original album material digitally remastered, we could add here 10 previously unreleased tracks recently discovered in the original stereo master tapes and that see the light of the day for the first time: some of them are alternate film versions of the albums tracks, while others features totally new material . Of the song “Grau Grau Grau” sung by Bud Spencer, we present here the rare Film version (track 17) as heard in the scene where Bud drives the bus and the alternate version recorded for the english market (track 22) with a totally different arrangement than the album take(track 1).
